Services & Programs

firstknight-bag.jpeg

Our FirstNight Bag is an emergency duffle bag which is provided to children within the first 48 hours of entering  into foster care. We pack these bags with love and care, each one includes, their basic needs: clothing, hygiene items, a blanket, a stuffed animal, coloring book and crayons, (depends on the age of the youth). Our hope is to provide some comforts to these kiddos facing big challenges. Bags are also provided to children already in care and at risk-youth.

Seasonal Blessings

These Free biannual events allow for foster families, and others in need, to receive a weeks’ worth of seasonally appropriate clothing through the generosity of our giving community and our partnership with Floris UMC. In our first year of operation, we were able to provide over 7,500 pieces of clothing to over 535 people from over 320 families.

Super Saturday Celebrations

Super Saturday Celebrations ensure all kids living in the local shelter have a special day full of games and activities, cupcakes and fun. We aim to spread joy and create lasting memories for our little ones, despite current situation.

Back To School Boutique

Our Back to School event ensures that school-aged youth have the supplies they need to start the year with confidence. Each summer, we collect backpacks and essential school supplies, including pencils, markers, crayons, pens, notebooks, and more, to equip students for success. Once all the supplies are gathered, we come together as a community for a backpack-packing event, where volunteers help assemble and organize the backpacks for distribution. Every child deserves a strong start to the school year, and with your support, we can provide them with the tools they need to thrive. Join us in filling backpacks—and futures—with hope!

The Next Step

The Next Step is a three-month, education-based program designed to prepare aged-out foster youth for housing stability and FYI Voucher success. The program bridges the gap between voucher approval and move-in.
