April UpsideDown Moments Newsletter

April was a significant month for UpsideDown Moments. Not only did we see the impact of our programs firsthand, but we also witnessed the incredible strength and generosity of our community, with so many people stepping up to support our mission. We are deeply grateful for the continued support and are excited to highlight the meaningful moments and impactful events that made this month so special.

Monthly Impact Statistics

  • Volunteers - Our amazing volunteers provided a total of 168 volunteer hours, highlighting the impacts for this period.

  • Assistance Provided - 16 clients were supported with our programs (Basic Budgeting Session, Car Maintenance Workshop, Easter Baskets, and Foster Parent assistance for caring for two infants)

Exciting Updates from Our Community!

  • We are thrilled to share that two aged-out youth have begun the month by mentoring for Vehicles Empowering Hope. This program matches their savings to help them purchase a vehicle, providing them with much-needed independence.

  • We are grateful to Peter Burnett for donating a Chevrolet Colorado Truck! This generous contribution will be given to an aged-out youth in May, making a significant impact on their life.

  • A heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for your generosity! Your donations of hygiene items, clothing, and purchases from Amazon are instrumental in helping us prepare for the 490 children registered for our Seasonal Blessings program.

We appreciate your ongoing support and dedication to impacting the lives of our youth positively! Also, we want to give a heartfelt thank you to all our committed volunteers who took part this month. Your time and effort are what make our work achievable! ❤️

Volunteer of The Month Spotlight: Jason Klepec

Excellent job, Jason! Thank you for your exceptional work in sorting; your attention to detail has made a significant difference. We appreciate your efforts in organizing everything so efficiently; it has streamlined our processes and made our tasks much easier. Lastly, thank you for handling transportation logistics

Team Members of The Month Spotlight: Anney Mierski & Heather Moreland

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to two incredible women behind the scenes — our Board Treasurer, Anney, and our Bookkeeper, Heather! 💙

These ladies worked tirelessly to help get our taxes completed this year — a huge milestone and first for UDM! Their dedication, teamwork, patience, and countless hours of hard work helped make the process smooth and successful. They truly are an amazing team.

While we are sad that Anney will be moving in May, we are incredibly grateful that she will continue to remain a big part of UDM from afar. Her commitment to our mission means so much, and we are thankful her heart for this work isn’t going anywhere. 🌎💙

Thank you both for all you do to keep UDM moving forward and serving our community well. We appreciate you more than words can say! 🙌

Special Thanks to Brownie Troop 70346

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and for spreading happiness through your generous gift!

A Grateful Acknowledgment to Rusty Foster
