March was a whirlwind of meaningful moments at UpsideDown Moments! From receiving donations to hosting multiple volunteer events, the heart of our community showed up in powerful ways. We were especially blown away by the incredible support on GiveChoose Day—thank you for helping us surpass our goals and uplift our community through our Vehicles Empowering Hope program. As we turn the page to spring, we're looking ahead to even more exciting opportunities, including Loudoun KidzFest and several community events where we hope to see familiar faces and meet new friends. There's so much good happening, and we’re thrilled to have you on this journey with us!

Welcoming Our New Team Member
Please join us in welcoming Murali Gunti as the newest member of the UpsideDown Moments team, serving in the vital role of Operations Support! Originally from India and most recently from New Jersey, Murali has now made Ashburn, Virginia, his home as he continues to pursue a career in technology. He brings with him a strong analytical mindset, technical expertise, and a deep passion for helping others. Guided by the belief that we should be the change we wish to see in the world, Murali is excited to give back through his work with UDM. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new hobbies, learning, playing video games, and catching up on his favorite TV shows. We’re thrilled to have him on board!
Team Member of the Month: Chris Henn

This month, we’re excited to shine our Team Member Spotlight on Chris Henn, who has been an invaluable part of UpsideDown Moments since 2023, serving as our dedicated Treasurer of the board. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the team as a business owner, nonprofit leader, and seasoned Board Member with a strong background in finance and financial systems. His leadership has helped UDM expand and operate with continued fiscal responsibility as we grow. We’re so grateful for everything Chris brings to the team!
Volunteer of the Month
We’re proud to recognize Dillon Proxmire as our Volunteer of the Month! During his spring break, Dillon generously dedicated an incredible 50 hours of his time to support UpsideDown Moments. His contributions were nothing short of amazing—he moved bins, sorted clothing donations, transported items, delivered essentials to the Department of Family Services, created a detailed diagram of our storage garage, and even worked on our truck to keep things running smoothly. Dillon’s hard work, initiative, and positive attitude made a huge impact, and we are so grateful for his heart to serve. Thank you, Dillon, for going above and beyond!
Join us for our upcoming fundraising event-
Loudoun Kidzfest!
Mark your calendars and grab your tickets—our biggest fundraising event of the year is just around the corner! Join us for Loudoun KidzFest to Benefit UpsideDown Moments on Saturday, April 26th from 1–5 PM at 20577 Ashburn Road, Ashburn, VA. This family-friendly festival is where fun meets purpose, featuring live music by Bach to Rock, exciting games, crafts, face painting, prizes for kids all covered with entry fee. We will also have a raffle, silent auction, and a delicious bake sale! Best of all, every dollar raised supports foster kids and at-risk youth right here in our community through UpsideDown Moments. Don’t miss this unforgettable day of joy, connection, and giving back—we can’t wait to see you there!

We are excited to announce that UpsideDown Moments has been chosen as a beneficiary of the Rotary Club of Leesburg’s STICKY WICKET CROQUET Tournament on May 17th, 2025! This fun event combines community spirit and philanthropy, and we are thrilled to be part of it. Proceeds will support our mission of helping children in foster care, at-risk youth, and young adults transitioning out of foster care. Stay tuned for more details—let’s make this event a tremendous success together!
A Huge Thank You to Floris United Methodist Church
We are incredibly grateful to the dedicated parishioners of Floris UMC for their generosity and support during Sunday’s SORT Event. After the first service, volunteers helped sort through 15 bags of clothing, ensuring these essential items are ready for those who need them most. Following the second service, even more volunteers came together to pack hygiene kits, providing dignity and care to individuals in our community. Your willingness to serve and support our mission makes a meaningful difference, and we are so thankful to have you as part of the UpsideDown Moments community.
Thank You to the 3D Lacrosse VA/MD Girls Team
We are so grateful to the 3D Lacrosse Virginia and Maryland 3STEP Sports girls lacrosse team for volunteering their time and energy to support our Seasonal Blessings program. This incredible group of young athletes jumped right in—packing, organizing, moving items, and even helping with some light sorting. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and positive spirit made a big impact. A heartfelt thank you to their coach, Jessica Klinger, for organizing their visit and encouraging their involvement. We’re thankful to have such dedicated partners in our mission to bring hope and support to those who need it most.
