Vehicles Empowering Hope - Changing Lives One Mile at a Time.

Since Launching the VEH Program in October 2024.....

In the past year, our VEH program has been a lifeline for aged-out foster youth, ensuring they can keep moving toward independence. Transportation is more than just getting from point A to point B—it’s the difference between keeping a job, attending college, or missing out on opportunity.

 

📊 Since October 2024, together we’ve provided:

 

  • $5,903 in direct support for car repairs, insurance, gas, and driving school

  • Help to 9 young adults navigating life on their own after foster care

  • Support that ranged from a $50 gas card to over $2,000 in urgent repairs

  • Creative solutions like providing a bicycle and an electric bike when a car wasn’t available

 

✨ Each number represents a story of resilience:

 

  • Holly, who faced nearly $1,000 in repairs to keep her car running.

  • Anna, who had over $2,000 in emergency repairs but now has reliable transportation again.

  • Tammy, who we’ve been able to support with multiple car needs so she never had to put her goals on hold.

But VEH is more than just financial help—it’s also about preparing youth for success.

Every participant is asked to take part in our Budgeting Basics workshop (led by career coach Deborah Leben) and a car maintenance overview so they gain the skills to manage their finances and care for their vehicles.

Exciting News....

This fall, we’re taking the program one step further—

💙 we will hand over the keys of a donated vehicle to a deserving young adult. For them, it’s more than a car—it’s freedom, stability, and hope for a brighter future.
