March was a whirlwind of meaningful moments at UpsideDown Moments! From receiving donations to hosting multiple volunteer events, our community's heart shone brightly. We were especially thrilled with the overwhelming support on GiveChoose Day. Thank you for helping us surpass our goals and uplift our community through our Vehicles Empowering Hope program.
As we embrace spring, we eagerly look forward to even more exciting opportunities. Events like Loudoun KidzFest will allow us to reunite with familiar faces and meet new friends. There’s so much good happening, and we’re delighted to have you along on this journey!
Welcoming Our New Team Member

We are excited to welcome Murali Gunti to the UpsideDown Moments team! In his vital role as Operations Support, Murali brings a strong analytical mindset and technical expertise. Originally from India and more recently from New Jersey, he now calls Ashburn, Virginia, home as he pursues a career in technology.
Murali is passionate about helping others and believes that we should be the change we wish to see in the world. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new hobbies, playing video games, and catching up on his favorite TV shows. We’re thrilled to have him on board!
Team Member of the Month: Chris Henn

This month, we spotlight Chris Henn, our dedicated Treasurer, who has been an invaluable part of UpsideDown Moments since 2023. Chris brings a wealth of experience as a business owner and nonprofit leader. His strong background in finance has been instrumental in helping us expand while maintaining fiscal responsibility. We are immensely grateful for all that Chris contributes to our team!
Volunteer of the Month: Dillon Proxmire
We are proud to recognize Dillon Proxmire as our Volunteer of the Month! During his spring break, Dillon selflessly dedicated 50 hours to support UpsideDown Moments. His contributions included moving bins, sorting clothing donations, transporting items, and delivering essentials to the Department of Family Services. He even created a detailed diagram of our storage garage and worked on our truck.
Dillon’s hard work, initiative, and positive attitude made a significant impact. Thank you, Dillon, for going above and beyond!

Upcoming Event: Rotary Club of Leesburg

We are thrilled to announce that UpsideDown Moments has been selected as a beneficiary of the Rotary Club of Leesburg’s STICKY WICKET CROQUET Tournament on May 17th, 2025! This fun event combines community spirit and philanthropy. Proceeds will support our mission of helping children in foster care, at-risk youth, and young adults transitioning out of foster care. Stay tuned for more details—let’s make this event a tremendous success together!
A Huge Thank You to Floris UMC
We are truly grateful to the dedicated parishioners of Floris United Methodist Church for their generosity during our SORT Event. Volunteers sorted through 15 bags of clothing, ensuring these essential items are ready for those in need. They also packed hygiene kits, providing dignity and care to individuals in our community. Your support makes a meaningful difference, and we are thankful to have you as part of the UpsideDown Moments family.
Thank You to 3D Lacrosse VA/MD Girls Team!
We appreciate the 3D Lacrosse Virginia and Maryland 3STEP Sports girls lacrosse team for their volunteer work with our Seasonal Blessings program. This amazing group of young athletes jumped in to pack, organize, and move items while helping with light sorting. Thank you to their coach, Jessica Klinger, for facilitating their involvement. Your dedication greatly impacts our mission to support those in need.
Vehicles Empowering Hope: Support Us!

Exciting news! We have officially launched our Vehicles Empowering Hope (VEH) Program. So far, we’ve assisted with five car repairs and helped one individual with a bike!
You can support our program in several ways. We are looking for repair shops and towing companies to partner with us. We also need driving schools or qualified individuals willing to help former foster youth obtain their driver’s licenses. Donations are always welcomed to cover program costs.
A Big Thank You from GiveChoose Day!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated on GiveChoose Day for our Vehicles Empowering Hope program. Your generosity raised over $6,000, showcasing the incredible power of community and compassion. These funds will assist young adults formerly in foster care in overcoming transportation barriers, opening doors to jobs and education. Thank you for being part of this important work!
